The Bhaktapur Durbar Square is another medieval art that dates back to the original name of the city, ‘Bhadgaun’. Among the Durbar Squares in the Kathmandu Valley, this particular one reflects equal historical value as the others. This royal plaza is currently situated at the heart of Bhaktapur, which lies about 13 kilometers east of Kathmandu. The four individual squares, Durbar Square, Dattatraya Square, Taumadhi Square and Pottery Square, altogether form the Bhaktapur Durbar Square.
