Ghorepani Poon Hill trek is probably the easiest trek on the Annapurna region above the beautiful Pokhara valley. This Annapurna Ghorepani Poonhill trek is the best option for beginners and elderly people or those who wish less physical effort and still want to explore the breathtaking Mountain scenery, culture and tradition of the mountain people of Nepal. This easy trek has no risk of altitude sickness and can be done any time throughout the year

Ghorepani Poon Hill trekking leads you to the superb Himalayan scenery of the Annapurna mountain series crossing through the wonderful Gurung villages, impenetrable blooming Rhododendron forest, nicely cultivated terrace field in the mid hill region of west Nepal. This Ghorepani Poon Hill trek begins from the lake city of Pokhara, a breathtaking place by itself.

A short drive to trail head Nayapul, we start our hiking on a well-developed trail along the Modi Khola River to arrive in Ghorepani- the ancient settlement of the ethnic Gurung people. Early in the morning we ascend to the Himalayan view point station of Poon Hill, from where we can enjoy the outstanding views of Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m), Mt. Annapurna I (8091m), Mt. Nilgiri (7040m), Annapurna South, Annapurna II, Annapurna III, Annapurna IV, Hunchuli, Fish Tail, Lamjung Himal and many other short and high mountains which dominate the northern skyline. In the coming few days we visit many beautiful villages on the trail and enjoy the best Mountain view in the world and then go back to Pokhara for a lake-side rest.
